PROJECT OVERVIEW
CPV Maple Hill Solar is one of the first solar projects of its kind in western Pennsylvania. Located on previously cleared timber property, the 100-MWac Maple Hill Solar facility will power more than 18,000 homes, avoid over 100,000 tons of CO2 per year by displacing older, less efficient generation, and add to the clean energy mix in the Commonwealth. CPV Maple Hill Solar will employ approximately 250 workers at peak construction and will bring significant tax benefits to Cambria County. This project ties into the Penelec/First Energy Grid and will fund upgrades to the transmission lines in the immediate area.
